the fn-8004 is loosely based on a 1950s levi’s 501xx featuring a higher rise (or deeper crotch) and a loose straight leg with a slight taper from the knee downwards. it’s made in japan from flat head's heaviest denim to date. the 18oz selvedge fabric is densely woven on toyoda g3 shuttle looms resulting in a tough, rain-textured denim with an amazing fading potential. rope-dyed 24 times in indigo, it develops distinct vertical “doshaburi” fades - a signature of the brand.
