founded in 1931 by ed viberg, viberg boot is a 3rd generation, family owned boots company in victoria, british columbia. ed's son glen viberg takes care of the production and is personally involved in the manufacturing of each boot that passes through the doors of their workshop. glen’s son, brett viberg heads the company and as a designer is also largely responsible for turning the former manufacturer of work boots into a modern and globally sought-after lifestyle brand. however, viberg boot's claim to craftsmanship and quality remains unchanged. only the best materials from all over the world are used: brass tacks from england, heavyweight insoles from spain, vibram outsoles, swiss hobnails and the finest upper leathers from renowned tanneries in the usa and italy. over 200 steps are taken to make each pair of boots and this is all undertaken by viberg’s skilled craftspeople at their home in victoria. the combination of family business, contemporary design and highest quality makes viberg boot something really special.
