studio d'artisan x vague watch co. | 7587 collaboration watch - black/khaki

inspired by military dive watches of the 1970s, the studio d'artisan x vague watch co. collaboration watch combines the distinctive character of a vintage timepiece worn for decades with modern japanese watchmaking. saltwater, sunlight, and years of daily use left their marks on the original watches, creating a unique patina that is carefully recreated by hand on each piece.

the 36mm case stays true to the compact proportions of historical military dive watches and is initially finished with a highly durable ip coating (ion plating). each watch is then individually hand-distressed by a skilled craftsman to recreate the characteristic signs of wear found on a timepiece that has seen decades of use. as the entire process is carried out by hand, no two watches are exactly alike. each develops its own distinctive patina and individual character.

the domed glass crystal recalls the classic acrylic crystals of vintage watches, adding to its authentic period look. the black dial features the studio d'artisan logo at the 6 o'clock position, while the seconds hand comes in the signature orange of the japanese denim maker. inside, a reliable, low-maintenance japanese quartz movement ensures accurate timekeeping. the watch comes with two interchangeable straps in black and khaki, both designed for the 18mm lug width.
