the down vest is one of rocky mountain featherbed’s most iconic styles. inspired by american outdoor wear from the 1970s, it is crafted in japan from 70-denier nylon fabric that faithfully recreates the original material used for vintage down vests, combined with a one-piece leather yoke. over time, the leather develops a unique patina and naturally conforms to the wearer’s body shape. the vest is insulated with water-repellent 700-fill-power down, providing exceptional warmth even in the most challenging weather conditions.
