rocky mountain featherbed
rocky mountain featherbed was originally founded in jackson hole, wyoming (“the cowboy state” ) in the late 1960s and registered as a trademark in the usa in 1974. the brand became famous and popular for its down-filled vests and jackets with the one-piece leather yoke, which was inspired by the leather capes worn by native americans. unfortunately, the brand went out of business in the 1980s but was revived in 2005 by the japanese company 25 summers ltd.. since then, the iconic jackets and vests have been handmade in japan with the utmost respect for the original. the end product are vests and jackets that have the rugged look of classic americana combined with the detail oriented precision of the japanese.
