y'2 leather | sumi dyed horse single riders jacket (shr-47)

y'2's model 47 single rider jacket is a touch more vintage-inspired than their other model 42 and model 65 single rider jackets, with a roomier torso and detailed "action back". still a handsome a subdued alternative to the classic double-rider jacket, the shr-47 features a slightly distinguished, 1930s "sportswear" vibe that could be dressed up if one desired. it is made in japan from 1.5mm thick sumi tea-core horse leather. this special leather is dyed with traditional sumi ink from nara prefecture and takes about twice as long to finish due to the elaborate dyeing process. the sumi ink is made from ash and provides an extremely rich and solid black color that wears off over time, fading more and more and bringing out the natural interior of the leather.
