y'2 leather | sumi dyed horse double riders jacket (shr-58)
the shr-58 sumi dyed double riders jacket by y'2 leather is based on the legendary buco j-24l. the jacket with the detachable mouton collar is made in japan from 1.5mm thick sumi tea-core horse leather. this special leather is dyed with traditional sumi ink from nara prefecture and takes about twice as long to finish due to the elaborate dyeing process. the sumi ink is made from ash and provides an extremely rich and solid black color that wears off over time, fading more and more and bringing out the natural interior of the leather.
