viberg is famous for its many great and different interpretations of the standard n-1 boot of the us navy from the second world war. sometimes true to the original, sometimes a little more rugged, and then again very elegant. this version with leather soles and the rather flat unstructured toe box definitely falls into the latter category. the new 1940 last used in the field boot perfectly references the iconic usn last from the 1940s. this round toe shape offers a more anatomical fit throughout, providing both comfort and a vintage aesthetic. the beautiful horween chromexcel roughout leather becomes darker and darker with increasing wear time and develops a unique patina.

these boots - like all viberg boots - are the end result of more than 200 hand-crafting steps and they underwent strict quality inspections at viberg's victoria workshop. any slight variations in color and texture should therefore be considered a part of the boot’s unique character.
