the l-2b jacket by the real mccoy's is a faithful reproduction of an early type l-2b flight jacket with champagne gold-colored wool viscose lining from the mid/late 1950s. its lightweight design made it perfect for use in warmer climates. the biggest change from its predecessor, the l-2a, was the color. after the end of the korean war, the u.s. air force (usaf) changed the color of the flight jackets from air force blue to sage green. in addition, the sizing was changed from inch to m, l, etc.
