the real mccoy's | black wabash work trousers
the black wabash work trousers by the real mccoy’s are based on old work pants from the 1930s. instead of the indigo dye typically associated with wabash, these striped pants are made from black, sulfur-dyed fabric. in fact, the black wabash fabric was developed in the 1930s in response to declining demand for indigo fabrics, but it was produced in only small quantities, which is why it is nearly impossible today to find original vintage pieces from that era. rmc owns one such treasure, has closely examined the fabric, and has reproduced it exactly.
