resolute | 714 ww2 model
the 714 ww2 jeans are resolute’s take on the jeans models manufactured during world war 2. at that time the u.s. government required all garment manufacturers to remove a certain amount of metal, fabric, and sewing thread from their garments in order to make efficient use of resources. for example, the crotch rivet and the rivets on the coin pocket came off, the same with the decorative stitching on the back pockets and the cinch back. the 714 features a slightly loose silhouette, a high waist and a tapered not too wide leg. the beautiful 13.5oz denim is the same as for the resolute's 711 jeans, is 1:1 based on the original fabric from the 1950s and will beautifully age with wear.
