the saddle straight jean trouser “945” by old joe is based on the “980" (five-pocket standard denim) but features a wider cut from the knee to the hem what makes them perfect for pairing with high-shaft boots. what remains the same, is the minimalist, elegant design and the creases, which both are more reminiscent of tailoring than engineering. this version of the 945 is made in japan from a black 12oz kibata denim. this exceptional denim fabric was woven in ibara, japan's leading denim production region, and has a great, irregular “nep” texture with lots of depth and character.
