the lower pocket jean jacket is old joe's minimalist take on a classic type 2 denim jacket, featuring distinctive low-positioned flap pockets and an elegant small collar that frames the face when fully buttoned. this version is made in japan from a 12oz kibata denim, which is slightly lighter and more vibrant in color than the standard old joe original denim. this exceptional denim fabric was woven in ibara, japan's leading denim production region, from high-quality indigo-dyed warp yarn and carefully selected beige weft yarn, and has a great, irregular “nep” texture with lots of depth and character.
