the vintage ivy socks are made exclusively for kamakura by halison, a renowned japanese sock maker. these classic three-stripe crew socks were particularly popular in japan during the 1960s and 1970s, when ivy style was at its peak. for this reissue, the original design has been given a modern interpretation and is made from organic cotton. the yarn that sits against the skin is made from a special stretch cotton called csy. a high-strength polyurethane core is wrapped in cotton, resulting in socks that are highly durable while offering a soft and comfortable feel. thanks to their excellent fit, they are also particularly well suited to penny loafers.
