the utility pant by far east manufacturing is based on the famous us military work pants that were used from the 1940s through the 1970s and are better known as fatigue or baker pants. the pants from fem feature a high rise and a relaxed yet not too loose, straight silhouette, as was typical of the versions from the 1960s. they are made in japan from a back satin fabric woven specifically for the brand. the beautifully irregular fabric is sulfur dyed making it resistant to washing and sunlight, and will fade while retaining its olive color.
