denime | lot.224 66b black denim

lot 224 from the japanese label denime is based on an old pair of levi’s 501s from the years 1966–1971. the jeans have a classic slim-fit silhouette – neither too tight nor too loose – and are made in japan from a beautiful, 14.5 oz, unsanforised black selvedge denim. this distinctive fabric was developed in collaboration with kurabo and is an exact replica of the original denime denim from the 1980s. the fabric, painstakingly woven on old gl3 looms, is dyed with sulphur, creating a deep black surface whilst retaining the white core. the 66 model is an absolute classic that becomes more and more beautiful the longer you wear it.
