the br69444 c-2 type heavy cotton jersey jacket by buzz rickson's is based on the woolen c-2 flight jacket designed in the 1940s for u.s. army air corps pilots as a warming underlayer for the a-2 leather jacket. instead of wool, this br version is made from a tightly woven cotton jersey, which also protects against the cold but is much easier to care for than the original woolen fabric.
