the black n-1 deck jacket by buzz rickson's is part of the "type black" militaria cooperation with science fiction novelist william gibson. gibson designed a fictional black ma-1 jacket from buzz rickson's for his protagonist in his book "pattern recognition", and the idea for an all-black collection was born.

the n-1 deck jacket by buzz rickson’s is a faithful reproduction of the legendary us navy jacket worn by american naval crews during world wa2ii and well into the korean war. designed to withstand the harsh conditions at sea, it combines an exceptionally durable, wind-resistant jungle cloth shell made from densely woven cotton with a warm lining of alpaca, mohair, and wool. the close-fitting silhouette provides excellent protection against cold winds while maintaining a timeless, distinctive look.
