the charcoal grey br15412 m-1943 jacket by buzz rickson's is part of the "type black" militaria cooperation.with science fiction novelist william gibson. gibson designed a fictional black ma-1 jacket from buzz rickson's for his protagonist in his book "pattern recognition", and the idea for an all-black collection was born.
the m-1943 jacket was developed during the second world war and is considered a milestone in the (uniform) history of the us military and a precursor to the two most famous us military jackets - the m-51 and the m-65. buzz rickson's version is made in japan from heavy cotton sateen and lined with a light cotton poplin.
