this beautiful type m-41 jacket is an exact reproduction by buzz rickson's based on original vintage jackets. the m-41 field jacket is the mother of all field jackets. the lightweight jacket made of cotton poplin with wool flannel lining is also known as the parsons jacket, after major general james k. parsons, who was responsible for the introduction of the jacket. it was developed as a combat uniform for field use and was virtually the (!) gi jacket during the second world war due to its great popularity and widespread use.
