the br14965 ma-1 slender jacket by buzz rickson's is part of the "type black" militaria cooperation.with science fiction novelist william gibson. gibson designed a fictional black ma-1 jacket from buzz rickson's for his protagonist in his book "pattern recognition", and the idea for an all-black collection was born.
the black ma-1 slender is a slimmer and slightly longer take on the us air force flight jacket ma-1, introduced in 1957 as direct successor to the b-15 flight jacket. like the original this black ma-1 is made from heavy, water- and wind-resistant nylon twill fabric and is lined with a wool-cotton mix.
