the “army chinos” by bryceland's are based on the 1945 us army chino. cut high without a separate waistband, a full hip and gentle taper, it eschews fashion in favour of classicism. paired with a navy sports coat it is all orthodoxy and correctness, but is just as appropriate for a white tee on sunday afternoon. a generous opening at the cuff allows for a work boot as comfortably as a penny loafer, and when turned up over a sneaker it has the ease it needs to feel comfortable and relaxed. some things just don’t need improvement.
