although founded in 2011 already, the japanese jeans label boncoura is mostly known only to the absolute denim aficionados. but those who already know the brand and its goods are invariably thrilled. the designs are influenced by vintage levi’s classics, but they are not strict reproductions, and include subtle modern detailing.
the denim jacket 1st is based on the iconic levi’s type 1 jacket from the 1940s. it’s made from a beautiful dark 14.5oz denim that has a smooth but quite uneven texture.
