the brunel trousers by allevol are based on a pair of work trousers from the late 1950s and are named after the british engineer isambard kingdom brunel, who became famous in the 19th century for building the great western railway and a series of famous steamships and bridges. in 2002, brunel was voted second in a bbc public poll to determine the 100 greatest britons of all time.
