allevol | 60s campus shirt white
the allevol 60s campus shirt is based on a deadstock brooks brothers button-down shirt from the 1960s. the vintage shirt had never been worn or washed and still retained its original paper tags, allowing allevol to study it in its entirely original, unworn condition. rather than simply reproducing the original, allevol used it as a starting point to understand the distinctive proportions of american button-down shirts from this era. particular attention was paid to the generous fit, longer shirt length, centre box pleat and, above all, the long button-down collar. the result is a classic button-down shirt that captures the relaxed proportions of american ivy style in the 1950s and 60s, reinterpreted for everyday wear today.
