the1170-1 sashiko jeans by pure blue japan are japanese craftsmanship at its best. they are made in japan from a wonderfully irregular indigo sashiko fabric and develop a unique patina the longer they are worn. the cut is based on pbj's 003 regular straight jean silhouette, which in turn is based on the classic 1947 levi's 501. in other words, the jeans have a relaxed, but not too wide leg with a very slight taper from the knee down., designed for comfort and timeless style.
