the sd-1003 by studio d'artisan is a classic slim straight jean - not too wide, not too tight - and is made in japan from a unique 15oz gl3 selvedge denim with wonderfully irregular texture. this beautiful slub denim, newly developed by sda, is woven on an old toyoda gl3 loom from the 1950s/1960s, one of japan's first power looms. the gl3 weaves slowly at just 5 meters per hour which makes this fabric even more special.
