anatomica | 618 gary jeans (618 marilyn zero for men)
the 618 gary by anatomica is probably the first men's jeans based on women's jeans. in the 1930s when ranch tourism (dude ranches era) became popular, women finally had the opportunity to wear pants and even jeans. until then, this had been virtually impossible. levi's recognized the potential of these “ranch jeans” and in 1934 introduced the world's first jeans designed exclusively for women - the lady levi's jeans. based on these first women's jeans, anatomica developed the loose fit 618 gary for men. the pants are made in japan from a 10oz lightweight selvedge denim and are also comfortable to wear in the warmer months. in addition to the relaxed silhouette with the high rise/deep crotch, the 618 gary impresses with many original details such as the crotch rivet and the cinch back.
