pierre fournier opened anatomica in paris, france in 1994 to revive traditional european fashion that had been lost or was being lost from the men's fashion scene at the time. he developed an "anatomical" collection that was concerned with history, tradition, and his own fit. later, in 2006, a meeting with kinji teramoto gave anatomica a new direction, and through the filter of the two, american-style garments made in japan were born.
