the pilot jacket by dehen 1920 is inspired by vintage flight jackets and, to some extent, pays homage to the military service of the late bill dehen during world war ii. the jacket is made in portland from a 12oz, indigo-dyed japanese sashiko cotton fabric and will age beautifully. tonal details such as the ribbed collar, hem, and cuffs made from navy-colored worsted wool - produced on dehen’s original circular knitting machines from the 1940s - emphasize the timeless design. a navy-colored satin lining and a practical inner pocket round out the jacket in a functional and stylish way.
