rmc's latest version of the wool field sportsj acket is a true repoduction of a vintage sports jacket from the 1930s. “sports jacket” used to be an umbrella term for highly functional and versatile outerwear being popular from the 1920s through the 1940s. the jacket is made in japan using a thick black wool made with broken twill weave which softens up and becomes more comfortable after multiple wears conforming to the wearer. the jacket is finished with horsehide elbow patches, sleeve panels and trimmings which were originally developed to combat abbrasion and help increase the jackets working life.
