the m-65 parka is the successor to the m-51 parka and an early model of the garment that would go on to be named the "parka, extreme cold weather". confusingly the parka was called m-65, not to be mistaken for the completely different m-65 field jacket. the parka features just two wool-lined front pockets and a fishtail silhouette, and the silhouette is wide and relaxed, cut long for layering over one or several other garments of various thicknesses. the real mccoy's version is made in japan from a cotton-nylon blend that is a 1:1 replica of the fabric the original jackets.
