the japanese label "soundman" was founded in 1999 by designer chihiro imai. the brand name is derived from the british slang meaning of the word “sound” which is “cool” or “awesome”. chihiro and his team create cool „stylish-low-tech clothes” by redesigning classic (mainly british) tailored, work, military and sportswear from the 20th century with the perspective of the 21st century. we think this is really sound, man.
