railcar fine goods is a small privately owned denim company in monrovia, california, offering tailoring and craftsmanship at its finest. every garment, whether shirt or pants, is handmade on vintage singer and union special machines. in contrast to many other denim brands, the entire manufacturing process from the design to the finished product takes place in-house in their own small workshop. this is the only way that company founder steven dang feels he can deliver the best possible quality day after day. and nothing else is the goal of steven and his small team.
by the way, steven was a mechanic for subways and trams in los angeles for many years - hence the name railcar - before he realized that he wanted to do something more creative. in his designs and realizations you can still see his eye for detail and the sophisticated construction of the mechanic. there is simply no better combination of great design and durable workmanship.
