nudie jeans
nudie jeans was kicked of by maria erixon levin and joakim levin in gothenburg in 2001, with the aim of making jeans that become part of the life of each individual wearer, that age with them and that perhaps even outlive them. jeans that are like a second skin and get better and better with age. nudie wanted to create the new vintage, not garbage.
and, to a certain extent, nudie has also been responsible for stuf|f existing at all. in 2005, a regular ralf was thomas’ very first dry denim selvedge jeans - which he still owns -, including a recommendation that was almost revolutionary and even outrageous at the time: to wash these jeans not before 6 months of daily wear. as unusual as that sounded then, as impressive the result was and marked the beginning of a never-ending passion for dark, unwashed denim. so it was really only a matter of time before nudie and stuf|f came together.
