this version with asymmetrical chest pockets - cigarette pocket on the left - is based on a vintage work shirt from the 1930s and is made in japan from a chambray-like cotton fabric that was once very popular for american workwear. black and white threads are twisted together to form a yarn, and the resulting shades on the fabric are intended to make stains less visible.
