this beautiful black long version ma-1 jacket by buzz rickson's is part of the "type black" militaria cooperation with science fiction novelist william gibson. gibson designed a fictional black ma-1 jacket from buzz rickson's for his protagonist in his book "pattern recognition", and the idea for an all-black collection was born.

this jacket is based on the later model of the tanker jacket, which had two side welt pockets instead of patch pockets. it is made in japan from water- and wind-resistant cotton twill and lined with 26oz heavy melton wool fabric to keep you nice and warm even on colder days. a true classic that is still at the forefront of style today.
