mister freedom | ranch blouse - sc66 denim
mister freedom is not about reproductions or trends, but creating historically plausible original clothes that never existed but could have. and the "sc66" (sugar cane 1966) denim jacket is the perfect proof for that. it’s a combination of type I (buckle-back), type II (two deep front pockets) and of an a-1 jacket (round collar) with a 1930’s ~ 1940’s flare. the jacket is made in usa from a crispy, slightly hairy, japanese 13.75oz denim. lining the underside of the collar and the inside of the pocket flap is the other fabric, a new-old-stock woven plaid. the jacket is raw and designed to shrink to the tag size.
