mister freedom | "nouvelle vague" slacks - charcoal grey
the "nouvelle vague" (french for "new wave") slacks are mister freedom's latest trouser style and are based on an unusual pair of vintage french casual cotton twill pants from mf’s archives - probably tailor-made according to the simple seam construction, ahend t fact that they bore no branding. the design is a nod to the early 1960s looks, like jean-paul belmondo in "a bout de souffle" (1960) or alain delon in "plein soleil" (1960).
this first version is made in usa from an elegant 8oz nos crosshatch denim twill (cotton/linen mix) from italy, which will develop a unique crosshatched fading pattern due to its weave. the pants are versatile to wear, from elegant with a jacket and loafers to casual with sneakers and a t-shirt.
