great mohair cardigan by the real mccoy’s in the style kurt cobain once wore at his gigs. with vintage and current mohair sweaters available on the market, nylon or polyester is commonly used as the core yarn for production, and mohair yarn is twisted around the core yarn. rmc’s cardigan is made using 80% wool with 20% mohair yarn. by using natural fibres for the core yarn it creates a more substantial and warmer cardigan overall. the final raising process is then finished by hand, one piece at a time, using a roller machine.
