the br90259 type c-2 flying vest by buzz rickson's is a replica of the us airforce’s insulating c-2 style introduced first in 1934 in order to keep the pilots warm during their missions. despite being a sleeved sweater, it was still classified as a vest sleeved sweater in the spec sheet. the vest is made in japan from 100% wool and constructed exactly like the original: secured with a zip with snug ribbing at the v-collar, cuffs and hem. wear it on its own or beneath the flight jacket.
