the br15589 aviation associates wool a-1 jacket by buzz rickson's never officially existed. but when examining old photos during the world war, buss rickson’s was able to spot a few pilots with a non-army-issued jacket. officially, soldiers were not allowed to wear non-army-issued jackets, but the regulation became loose during the actual wartime. these non-army-issued jackets were military-inspired but differed slightly in design and material. buzz rickson's version is inspired by the classic a-1 flight jacket and is made in japan from 26oz heavyweight wool fabric.
