the br15625 type black l-2b by buzz rickson's is part of the "type black" militaria cooperation.with science fiction novelist william gibson. gibson designed a fictional black ma-1 jacket from buzz rickson's for his protagonist in his book "pattern recognition", and the idea for an all-black collection was born.
the japanese-made type l-2b jacket by buzz rickson's is a faithful reproduction of an original vintage jacket produced by skyline clothing company in 1958. the l-2b is the third model in the l-2 series and was used from the mid-1950s until the 1970s, when it was replaced by the cwu-36/p jacket.
