big john is the pioneer of japanese denim industry. the company manufactured the first made-in-japan jeans in 1965, and developed the first japanese denim fabric in 1972. “rare” is big john's flagship model and it’s been one of thomas’ first japanese jeans. this is already the 3. generation of the rare jeans, renewed in 2010 for the company's 70th anniversary. these classic straight fit jeans are made in kojima by the most experienced craftsmen in japan to pursue the highest quality jeans you could create in japan. the 15.5oz ransei shrink-to-fit denim is full of character and will beautifully age over time.
