the merchant is one of our favourite red wing styles. it‘s built on the same last as the blacksmith and the iron ranger, but it achieves a slimmer, more elegant profile and lower toe profile by forgoing a toe box. the merchant is based on the old model 245 from the 1920s and is considered a tribute to company founder charles beckman, who was a merchant at the beginning of the 19th century.
