the bdu jacket by orslow is based on the u.s. army’s “battle dress uniform” (bdu) jacket, which was introduced in the early 1980s. instead of camouflage or army green, the jacket is made in japan from brown, pleasantly lightweight yet durable ripstop cotton fabric. what has remained, however, is the characteristic design with the four patch pockets on the chest and waist and the adjustable waist. the jacket has been stonewashed, resulting in a wonderfully soft, vintage-like texture.
