buzz rickson's | br15752 jacket, wool, red plaid civilian conservation corps “buzz rickson mfg. co.”
this plaid wool jacket, which hardly looks like a military jacket at first glance, was issued in 1935 to the civilian conservation corps (ccc). the ccc was a u.s. public work relief program from 1933 to 1942 that employed millions of young, unmarried men in conservation projects during the great depression. due to its extremely limited production numbers, encountering an original is almost miraculous these days. buzz rickson's version is made in japan from pure, high-quality wool and is the perfect companion for cooler days.
