inspired by vintage military trousers from the 1940s barnstormer was founded by ebine monroe in 1977 and was the first brand in japan to make authentic american chinos (khaki) in japan. monroe was impressed by the craftmanship, the robustness and the elegant design of these vintage pants. especially the double pleated chino of general mcarthur has been his favorite. but barnstormer goes beyond pure reproduction and fuses classic design with contemporary silhouettes, finest japanese fabrics and the best tailoring in japan.
